The contract is a very important document as it sets out the nature of the collaboration between the Commercial Agent and the Principal.

In addition to the respective obligations of the parties, it must, as a minimum, also mention certain other points to avoid the possibility of a legal dispute.

It must mention, for example, the reference to Articles L.134-1 et seq. of the French Commercial Code and the geographical area within which the mission is to be performed.
