Significant dates and events in the life of FNAC2012 – IUCAB International Conference in Paris
2009 – Jacques Delétang, Federation President, confirms FNAC’s priorities: Training, Communication and Support for Commercial Agents 2008 – Launch of JNAC (National Commercial Agent Day) 2007 – Creation of INFACOM (National Institute for Commercial Agent Training), the successor to IFAC. Updating of website and the Magazine.
2003 – Rejuvenation of the Federation with the election of the youngest President in the history of FNAC, Yves Lacaille (41).
1999 – Development of Services Certification Standard by André Clavier
1996 – Transfer of the head office "Maison de l’Agent Commercial", housing the Fédération Nationale (FNAC), the Association Agréée des Agents Commerciaux (AAAC), the Éditions de l’Agent Commercial (EDAC) and the Chambre Professionnelle Francilienne des Agents Commerciaux (CPFAC), to 30, Avenue de l’Opéra, Paris. 1992 – L aunch of SEAC: the European Commercial Agents Show
1991 – 25 June, transposition of the European Directive of 1986 into French law (Articles L. 134-1 et seq. of the French Commercial Code).
1988 – Creation of IFAC (Commercial Agents Training Institute) 1986 – European recognition of the status of Commercial Agent after long negotiations. The European Community adopts the Directive relating to the coordination of rights in member states regarding Commercial Agents on 18/12/1986
1984 – Creation of IDAC (association for the computerisation of Commercial Agents). G. de Lajartre takes part in the first listing of Commercial Agents registered at French commercial courts.
1983 – First National Commercial Agents Show in Paris, bringing together Commercial Agents, industrialists and embassies.
1978 - Creation of AAAC (Accredited Association of Commercial Agents)
1977 – Creation of EDAC (Commercial Agent Publications). Publisher of the magazine "L’Agent Commercial" 1974 – First Commercial Agents Forum. Inaugurated by René Chatain, working to promote the profession of Commercial Agent with industrialists and public authorities.
1973 – First issue of the magazine "L’Agent Commercial" Robert Darras decides to develop the "Bulletin de liaison de l’Agent Commercial" – a newsletter dating back to 1928 – into a proper bimonthly magazine on glossy paper.
1962 – Creation of the CNP and Regional Technical Committees Etienne Dreux gives impetus to the profession. In this year he creates regional technical committees whose work is collated by the CNP (National Productivity Centre), which, in 1980, is to become the CEP (National survey and Forecasting Centre). The CNP thereby draws attention to the issue of the status of Commercial Agent.
1958 – Recognition of the status of Commercial Agent On 23 December, the Federation obtains the signature of General de Gaulle on the parliamentary act enshrining the profession of Commercial Agent into law. This act is the culmination of the efforts of Joseph Reneaume and Edmond Michelet, Minister of Justice, former Commercial Agent and honorary President of FNAC.
1954 – Standard Commercial Agent contract In June, the Federation puts forward a standard Commercial Agent contract. The various employer confederations and the International Commercial Agents Union approve the text.
1953 – Founding member of IUCAB On 21 September, the Federation takes part in the founding of the IUCAB (Internationally United Commercial Agents and Brokers), set up to promote the international exchange of information.
From 1945 – recognition of the profession The mission of Jean Lhuillier is to give fresh impetus to the federation and to promote the creation of a recognised status for the profession. He organises the first FNAC National Congress in 1945.
1898 – The founding fathers. Creation of the Fédération des Courtiers et des Représentants Patentés (Federation of Brokers and Licenced Representatives) The forerunner of FNAC is born on 25 June 1898. Its twelve founders are committed to gaining recognition of their status as self-employed professionals. Mr. Gaud assumes the Presidency.
1884 – Creation of professional unions in France The "Waldeck-Rousseau" law of 21 March relating to the creation of professional unions.
1851 – Common Interest Mandate The profession of Commercial Agent is defined in case law as a Common Interest Mandate. |
